Description
Gould type microscope in a Mahogany case. Dates from the early 1800s – this is a small, portable microscope to take on field expeditions. Includes: a single substage lens, live box, top stage bullseye condenser lens, stage forceps, and a single bone
slide with 4 exhibits.
Condition notes: One objective and one ring are missing lenses. The box has a small hole in the upper left corner.
I’ve included 2 pictures viewed through the eyepiece. With a little experimenting I think you can get excellent results.
This is a great piece of early science history!
